The Late Macedonian Cavalry Command Group refers to the leadership and elite support structure of the Macedonian horsemen during the Antigonid period (roughly 277–168 BC). Unlike the earlier Companions under Alexander the Great, the late Macedonian cavalry saw a specialized command hierarchy involving tetrarchs (officers) and grammateis (secretaries or clerks) to manage the logistics and tactical execution of their charges.
