Roman Anti Elephant Wagon

During the Second Punic War, the Romans developed specialized wagons designed to counter Carthaginian war elephants. These wagons were equipped with various offensive and defensive measures to disrupt and deter the elephants. They featured swinging poles with tridents, spikes, and scythes, as well as cranes for throwing grappling hooks. Additionally, they carried fire-bearing grapnels and were manned by light-armed troops who could throw javelins, stones, and caltrops.
